I think South Dakota does an EXCELLENT job promoting our state in tourism. I wanted to let you know that. I think the great tourism book and map you work hard to prepare, are super, and my parents from Montana came to South Dakota this last summer and had a great time. And plan to order some more tourism info this spring and plan a trip back here this summer. And I plan to do some tourism events around our state as well. Keep up the greeat work.
I have a suggestion – create a scavenger hunt game with tokens (sporting the image of the location found/given out) to those that seek them out. Areas of interest throughout SD – Crazy horse, mt. rushmore, roughloch falls, slim buttes, fort sissiton, falls park, capital, and many others.
just a thought to encourage people to see all of SD
What a great job all of you do! This blog is a great step in the right direction for the office of tourism. A commitment to changing trends will ensure success and a continued growth in South Dakotas visitor industry.
I would especially like to offer my sincere appreciation to Buddy Seiner, Wanda Goodman, Kirk Hulstein, Thad Freideman and the whole creative department for all their hard work. They are truly a great representation of your office.
Pierre Resident,
Thank you for the suggestion! We’ll be compiling all of the suggestions made throughout the conference, including those posted on this blog, and will continue to consider them as we go into our various planning sessions throughout the year. Again, thank you for the suggestion…we appreciate your feedback!
Sincerely,
Wanda Goodman, Media/PR Manager
